more elegant option to the standard Buffet usually experienced at catered events. Voila Catering's Family-Style catering service is perfect for the occasion where the formality or cost of a plated meal service isn't just the right feel. 
Your guest will be enjoy the ease of sitting down to a chef-plated salad to start their delicious meal. The tables are set with water carafes and baskets of Grand Central's Artisan Bread with fresh butter to accompany the meal. As guests finish their salads, our uniformed staff clears the tables of salad plates and salad forks. Our staff then sets a platter of entrees and each side dish at each table. Conversation is stimulated as your guests pass the platters of hot food and are reminded of
special family holiday dinners. We love Family Style service as there is a much more intimate and special feeling of sharing food amongst friends than can every be felt at a buffet. 
For large groups it is often important to provide some variety for the guests. To provide guests with more than just one entree, we often suggest to our clients to provide a two main protein entrees for each guest.
Often the dining tables are filled with flowers, wine glasses, and water goblets so having four platters on the table is impractical. An elegant solution is to provide guests with a two course meal, allowing the guests to enjoy themselves at dinner by spreading the meal out over a longer time. We suggest starting with a first course of a lighter entree such as a salmon filet paired with a vegetable side, then a second course with a heavier entree paired with another side. This "French" approach to your catered meal gives your guests more food options and encourages even more conversation during the meal. We always recommend providing menu cards so your guests can anticipate the next course!

If the standard course do not meet their dietary restrictions, we are pleased to provide guests with their own plated entrees. We are pleased to accommodate low-fat, vegetarain, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free diets with delicious gourmet food.
